I painted this work as a quiet pause within the rhythm of everyday life.

A solitary figure rests on a simple staircase beneath a distant red sun. The forms are reduced to their essentials, allowing light, colour, and empty space to shape the emotional atmosphere rather than the narrative.

I am drawn to moments that ask for nothing except presence. The staircase is not a destination, but a place to stop, breathe, and simply exist. Through soft geometry and restrained colour, I hope to create a sense of calm that quietly lingers.

This work is part of my ongoing The Shape of Stillness series, exploring peaceful moments through minimalist forms, generous negative space, and quiet compositions designed to bring stillness into everyday spaces.
